Dr. Kirk Hamilton is a palliative medicine FRCPC specialist that has had years of experience performing newborn circumcisions. Dr. Hamilton is a skilled, experienced physician providing this procedure and has personally performed over 7,000 newborn circumcisions. He was initially trained as a family physician and for over 25 years delivered babies and provided newborn care before becoming a palliative medicine FRCPC specialist.

Dr. Kirk Hamilton is also one of the London Health Sciences Centre/LHSC Circumcision newborn circumcision consultants that provides this newborn procedure for those babies born at this tertiary care hospital in London, Ontario, Canada.

Although, this London Circumcision Clinic (The London Newborn Circumcision Clinic) is located in London, Ontario, Canada, we welcome infants with a valid health card from Southwestern Ontario to have this procedure performed at our clinic (this would include St. Thomas, Stratford and Chatham for example). The London Newborn Circumcision Clinic (LNC) is a dedicated circumcision clinic and tongue tie release clinic for infants. Newborn circumcisions and tongue tie patient assessments are the only patients Doctor Hamilton assesses at this office location.

We offer free parking and a private room for you to wait prior to, during and after the procedure. You will be able to feed your infant following the procedure prior to our team performing the post circumcision assessment to ensure there is no abnormal bleeding prior to you leaving our office.

No referral from a health care provider is required to request an appointment for this newborn circumcision procedure with Dr. Kirk Hamilton.

Booking a Newborn Circumcision Appointment with Dr. Kirk Hamilton

Dr. Kirk Hamilton will perform your son’s newborn circumcision if all of the following conditions are present:

1. My son is less than 6 weeks old and weighs between 2.5Kg (5.5 lbs) and 5.9kg (13lbs). Ideally, Dr. Hamilton prefers to perform this procedure within the first 2 weeks of life (unless he is born prematurely- see point 3)

2. My son is a resident of Canada along with a valid Canadian health card and lives in Southwestern Ontario.

3. If my son was born prematurely, Dr. Hamilton prefers to perform this procedure within 3 weeks of his original due date at the time of his circumcision procedure.

4. My son does not have a medical condition for which my primary care provider has advised me that he should not have this procedure performed.

5. I am the legal guardian of this infant male and permitted to give consent for this procedure.

6. I am willing to have the procedure done at the earliest available appointment. Appointments generally are early morning between the hours of 7:00 am – 8:45 am

7. I have read and understand how to prepare my son for the procedure (See below under the Frequently asked questions (FAQ) section

8. I understand and consent to emailing personal information to Doctor Kirk Hamilton’s office at the email address below. It is impossible to guarantee total security when sharing information via email.

9. The price for this procedure in this office is $300.00 cash and this payment is due prior to the circumcision being performed. I understand that there will be a rebooking fee of an additional $50.00 if we do not inform the office of a cancellation within 24 hours of our scheduled appointment. Our office is not equipped for debit, credit card payments or email transfers of funds. A receipt will be issued once the payment is received. </spanIn order to maintain a clean and safe environment and to decrease the spread of other diseases such as COVID and influenza, ONLY Dr. Hamilton’s trained staff and himself will be present in the procedure room. Parents and Caregivers will have a room to wait during the procedure and are NOT permitted in the procedure room.

10. If you or your infant have active COVID, flu symptoms or other symptoms of an infection, please follow current public health guidelines regarding going to public places prior to booking or presenting to our office for this procedure.
